Padre Pio’s spiritual journey began in the picturesque village of Pietrelcina, situated amidst the serene landscapes of southern Italy. Born Francesco Forgione on May 25, 1887, into a deeply religious family, his upbringing was steeped in the rich traditions of Catholicism.
